Céline Dion is getting into the children’s clothing market — and acting, apparently.
The singer, 50, debuted a short video clip announcing Célinununu, which
appears to be a gender-neutral clothing line for children, on social
media Monday morning.
In the video, Dion is wrestled to the ground by a police officer who
pins her hands behind her back. “It’s OK, it’s OK,” she says. “I’m
Céline Dion.”
The Célinununu website lists sweatshirts, jackets, leggings and T-shirts
available for $42 to $161 and baby clothes such as hats and onesies for
$20 to $59.
“Célinununu unites two forces by one voice: fashion has the power to
shape people’s minds. Inspire your children to be free and find their
own individuality through clothes,” the homepage reads. There are also
photos featuring phrases like “raise boys and girls the same way” and
“you are entirely up to you.”
Dion has three sons of her own: Soundcloud rapper René-Charles Angélil,
17, and fraternal twins Eddy and Nelson Angélil, both 8 years old.
This isn’t the first time that Dion has dipped her toe into the fashion
world: She has an eponymous clothing line that includes T-shirts, hats
and polos, as well as a full line of handbags.
The children’s line officially launches on Tuesday.
