Beyoncé rekindles friendship with Kanye West by wearing Yeezy
Things seem to be all good between the Carters and the Wests.
On Thursday, Kanye West posted a picture of Beyoncé and Jay-Z with the
caption “famleeeeee,” insinuating that the feud between rappers is over
and they have resumed their brotherly relationship.
Real proof of a reconciliation, however, can be found in a subtle but
deliberate hint in Beyoncé’s footwear choice: For the second time ever,
the singer is wearing shoes by Yeezy.
The clear wedge heels are from a recent Season 5 collection and cost $850.
Though a seemingly small olive branch, it is a significant improvement
in their relationship for the first time in years. In 2015, Bey made a
rare NYFW appearance to support West’s Yeezy Season One runway show,
sitting next to Kim Kardashian and North West in the front row. Later,
in 2016, B wore a Yeezy outfit in the “Freedom” portion of her visual
album, “Lemonade.” However, West went on a rant about the Carters
on-stage late in 2016, airing business and personal beef, sparking a
feud that has remained icy ever since.
It seems Beyoncé’s 2018 resolution is to mend fences. Not only has she
publicly worked through infidelities with Jay-Z, even renewing their
vows, but she also reunited with two former members of Destiny’s Child
this week.
Perhaps Ye will take the stage at one of the last On The Run II shows before the tour ends.
