Avenatti calls domestic violence allegations ‘completely bogus’

Michael Avenatii, who was arrested on Wednesday, called the allegations against him “completely bogus.”

Avenatti, a lawyer for porn star Stormy Daniels, denied ever being “physically abusive” in a statement released Wednesday evening after he was detained by the LAPD on domestic violence allegations.

“I wish to thank the hard working men and woman of the LAPD for their professionalism they were only doing their jobs in light of the completely bogus allegations against me,” the statement read.

“I have never been physically abusive in my life nor was I last night. Any accusations to the contrary are fabricated and meant to do harm to my reputation. I look forward to being fully exonerated.”

Avenatti allegedly left a woman’s face “swollen and bruised” after he kicked her out of an apartment, according to TMZ.

He represents Daniels — real name Stephanie Clifford — who claims she had an affair with Donald Trump in 2006 and was paid to keep quiet about it.
