Why Nicki Minaj got ‘bats–t mad’ at her mom
Cardi B isn’t the only person feuding with Nicki Minaj.
We’re told the rapper went “bats–t mad” at her mother Carol Maraj after
reading in Page Six that she was spotted selling her old clothes,
sources tell us.
We reported that the rap star’s mom was at Glamsense Divas Beauty Bar in
Pelham, NY, spending more than $600 on high-end items, and also
offloading a number of pieces.
Now we’re told that, “When Nicki found out that her mother sold old clothes she was very upset.”
But now the shop owners are saying that she donated the clothes, and the sales are going toward a charity for domestic violence.
The source added, “And now the mother is trying to figure out who” spilled the beans to Page Six.
Minaj has also been beefing with rival rapper Cardi B after the two
tussled at a New York Fashion Week party that wound up with Cardi
throwing a shoe at Minaj.
Minaj this week unveiled a line of merchandise — including jackets,
T-shirts and backpacks — that seem to reference the fight, even mocking
Cardi B’s
Instagram statement after the melee.
In other Nicki clothing news, a stylist accused the rapper earlier this
month of committing a major fashion faux pas — by stiffing him on more
than $73,000 in payments for his services.
Maher Jridi, who claims in court papers that he was Minaj’s stylist in
2017, alleges that the rapper borrowed clothes, wore them and did not
return them to the suppliers.
A company called Cloak Wardrobe has come after Jridi for nearly $13,000,
he said, to replace apparel that Minaj wore but never returned, the
suit says.
“Going against a celebrity is not an easy thing to do,” an entertainment
insider told Page Six. “She changes teams a lot . . . At the end of the
day people have bills to pay, as well as a team to look after.”
Reps for Minaj didn’t get back to us, and Carol couldn’t be reached for comment
