Bond director Cary Fukunaga buys New York City penthouse
Hot director Cary Fukunaga has bought a full-floor penthouse at Soho tower 570 Broome, sources tell Page Six.

The director, whose credits include HBO’s first season of “True
Detective” as well as Netflix’s upcoming “Maniac” was just tapped to
direct the next James Bond movie with Daniel Craig. Sources told us that
the Soho real estate deal was in the works before Fukunaga got the Bond
gig.
The downtown pad has three bedrooms and three baths as well as “two
large terraces with extraordinary views over the Hudson River,” solid
oak floors, floor-to-ceiling windows and a private elevator landing.
According to listings in the building, prices range from $1.35 million for 1-bedroom units — up to over $4 million.
“Maniac,” which stars Emma Stone and Jonah Hill, premieres on Friday.
The architect behind 570 Broome is Tahir Demircioglu, while Agime Group
developed the property. Sean Murphy Turner of Stribling Marketing
Associates handled the sale. Reports have said that the address’s facade
is coated with a spray-on solution called “Pureti,” which gives it “the
purifying power of 500 trees.”
Fukunaga’s 007 film will be released in 2020.
